There are different ways to install a WordPress website on your web server. In this guide, we will introduce the classic WordPress 5-minute install. You will not need any third party WordPress auto installer. You can download the official WordPress installer from WP official website, upload and install it on the web server with your web host. All the steps can be done manually by yourself, alone. The manual installation of WordPress takes about 5 minutes and will give you more freedom in the website management in the long run. Many WordPress hosting services also offer WordPress auto installers, see this step-by-step guide to set up WordPress site automatically.

Many good WordPress hosting service providers provide cPanel to their customers. You can also upload WordPress to your server through a FTP client, such as FileZilla. For cPanel hosting, you can create MySQL database and user for WordPress in cPanel following steps below.
This step is to find the WordPress configuration file and input the database info, so a connection between your WordPress and its database established. WordPress stores its information in the database. Check out this guide for the steps: configure WordPress Database connection in wp-config.php file.
If the WordPress files are uploaded to the domain root directory, open the installing URL in your browser. The WordPress installing page will be like this:
If you upload the WordPress files to a sub folder named ‘blog’, then you can access the installation page from an URL as below:
From the WP installation page, fill in the fields it asks for, such as site name, WP administrator username, password, a valid email address. You will need also to select whether or not to have the search engines index the site, this setting can be changed from the WordPress dashboard later. For most of us, we should allow search engines to craw and index our website, so enable it now. Once you are ready, click Install Now button, the WordPress installer wizard will do the rest.
If like, you can also install WordPress on a subdomain.
