Import passwords to Firefox browser from CSV

The password management tool in Firefox allows us to export all saved logins and passwords. However there is no import option visible by default. You can find the option to import passwords from another browser, but not from a CSV file. Before you can directly add passwords and logins from CSV file, you have to turn on a built-in but hidden feature in Firefox browser.

Launch Firefox browser on your PC. Type or copy & paste about:config in the address bar, press Enter on your keyboard to open its Advanced preferences page. A dialog box will appear to remind you that changing advanced configuration preferences may impact the performance or security. Confirm to accept the risk and continue.

You’ll see a search box at the top of this Advanced Preferences page. Copy & paste signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled to the search box to quickly find this option. Its status is set to false by default. Click the toggle to enable it and make its status true. After that, you should also find the Import from a File option below the Import from Another Browser item in Firefox Logins and Passwords page. Now you can select a CSV file which saves all the usernames and passwords and add them to Firefox browser.
