Windows 10 has many useful inbuilt tools and utilities. For example, you can use the Voice Recorder to record sound in Windows 10, you can capture screen in Windows 10 with the built-in snipping tool. However still we find many missing features or software in this most recent Windows OS, such as a free DVD player for Windows 10, a screen recorder, etc. Users have to download third party software from Microsoft Store or other sources in these cases. For screen capture in Windows 10 though, there is a hidden utility tool we can use. This screen recording utility is built in the new Xbox app for Windows 10. This is not a specialized screen video recorder, but a built-in utility for recording Xbox games streamed to PC. The interesting part is that this tool can also be used to record regular software and apps on your computer. So if you face any problem using some software on your PC, you can use this tool to create a screen recording video and send it to your siblings and friends who might be able to help. If you want to let others know how to do something on the computer, make a video tutorial or demo.

Better screen recording alternatives
The Xbox app provides us a free way to record screen in Windows 10. However it has the drawbacks you may not like. For example, the Xbox app has to be running at the background, it can only record current window, you can’t switch between different apps or windows, this video recording utility provides only basic capabilities, you can’t edit the screen recordings, etc. For a more advanced screen recording tool or method, you may consider Camtasia by Techsmith, ScreenFlow, etc.
Thanks for this
The built-in recorder is quite simple to use, but users should note that sometimes it captures video in blank screen, this is mainly because that some game does not allow for recording. Lucky me, I find another alternative tool which called ** online screen recorder, it can record any screen activity with audio. And more importantly, it’s free as well.
