Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to www.xxxxxx.com. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely.

What can you do about it?

www.xxxxxx.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

This site was secured by Let’s Encrypt free SSL. In an earlier post, we demonstrated how to get and install the FREE SSL certificate for your websites. Let’s Encrypt free certificate has many advantages. You don’t need to confirm your certificate via e-mail. The process is pretty easy and automated. The only requirement is that you must own the domain you want to get a certificate for. The Let’s encrypt certificates are automatically installed and managed. They are automatically renewed as well. You don’t even need a dedicated IP to install such a certificate. On top of that they are trusted by all major browsers. Keep in mind that those free certificates expire every 3 months but Scalahosting renews them automatically. Ocassionaly, it may fail to renew the certificate automatically. In this case, you have to install or renew it from the SPanel > Tools > SSL Certificates. The easier way however would be contacting their live chat support. Visit Scalahosting website, you can find the Chat icon at the top right corner. Send your domain name to their chat representative, they will fix it in just a few seconds.
