Is your site running on an outdated version of PHP? Newer versions of PHP receive regular security updates and may increase your site’s performance. If your site is hosted with Inmotion shared hosting, you can follow these quick steps to upgrade PHP to new version using the MultiPHP Manager in cPanel with Inmotion hosting.
Change PHP version for sites using MultiPHP Manager in cPanel
Login to cPanel with Inmotion hosting. Scroll down to the Software section to find and click MultiPHP Manager.
Click to check the box for the site you wish to update its PHP version. Then click to select the desired PHP version from the drop-down menu. Finally hit the Apply button.
You can also set the PHP version to inherit so it uses the system default PHP version which is set by the system administrator. By doing so, you don’t need to manually upgrade the PHP version for the website.
